Food Fight…
I used to have a lovely Persian carpet under my dining room table.
I gave it away.
Unable to afford to have it professionally green cleaned after every visit from my toddler niece, it went to a girl whose last name is Martini (true story). I realized that food was never going to remain on my nieces plate – and food + carpet = nasty bacteria. So. That was that.
In about 7 months my little one will eat solids. 2 months after that food will, unless the gods are truly merciful, end up on the floor. Right. Not one to hold back the tides, I am forewarned and for-armed – with a PVC free, machine washable plastioc food catching mat.
Made by Mimi the Sardine, you can also get matching place mats and bibs for your food flinging tot.
It ain’t Persian and wool, but it’s just until he’s 2. And a half. Ish.

Bon Appetit.
Humph.
