A Bear of a Rug

It has taken me forbloodyever to find a rug for Aldens’ nursery that met the Oeko-Tex 100 standard and didn’t look as though it could fly.

Since tummy time is now in full swing, I didn’t want my son breathing in (or chewing on), toxic dyes, formaldehyde or pesticides. I actually called several companies with handsome rugs, including Dash & Albert – but my calls and emails were met with conspicuous silence. So – the hunt continued.

I found the above “bearskin” rug at Rosenberry Rooms, and it meets all of my criteria. Mainly – it’s Oeko-Tex 100 certified, which is all I needed to know. Oh, and it’s not a real bear skin.

It’s simple, looks furry and comfy, and is washable.

That, I can bear.

(Sorry. Had to.)
