My best friend and I were at a diner this morning – which just happened to be directly across the street from Hadley, which was perfect  - as we just happened to need a baby birthday gift.

In we went.

Hadley carries all the MOD pieces that Chicagoan love, as well as items I haven’t seen at other local stores – such as the Hushamock cradle that I had considered for Alden:

(I was right. I wouldn’t have had the space for it – but it’s perfect for a larger nursery, and I do wish that it came in an adult size.)

Hadley also has a large line of the gorgeous Playsam cars and planes, that I had featured a few months ago, and have yet to see locally.

The service was great, as was the wrapping, and I’ll be back as Alden gets older and needs “wheels”.  How darling is this “First Saab”?!

Hadley is a great resource for Green Chicago mums – and after a good shop, you must try the “John’s Scramble” at  John’s Place right across the street. With organic apple chicken sausage.
