Feeling Sheepish…

I have always loved Hanro for it’s Scandy simplicity.  But as a yank, I am trying, (due to the constant nagging of my friend Ciara), to buy local.  In this case – from Maine.

I’ve never been to Maine, but I have always wanted to stay at a lovely B&B in some “Murder She Wrote” looking town, where all the men look like the Gordon fisherman, and eat my weight in lobster. (Ohhhh…mummy loves lobster now that she isn’t preggos anymore.)

So. I came across this lovely, very Hanro like line (via Treehugger), called Ramblers Way – where not only is every little piece organic and free of chemicals and pesticides – but they post photos of the sheep from whence commeth the wool!  I want to visit this farm and hug these sheep. It’s all so pure, simple and Americana. (Ciara!)

The founders (very sweet homey photos of them on site), are the very same that founded Tom’s of Maine, a brand I used to trust and love before Colgate bought them. (Just as Clorox bought Burt Bees, and Kelloggs bought Kashi. Humph.)

Anyway. If you love the ease and elegance of Hanro, and you have a navy blue passport, you may want to try Ramblers Way.

(I wonder if Maine sheep eat lobster?)

Step into my boudoir…

I had quite a few emails about yesterdays post. So, it seems that mama’s ARE interested in eco lingerie – but perhaps at slightly lower price points than Stella McCartney.

I am your humble servant…

Also from the UK, is Eco-Boudoir, with gorgeous, Agent Provocateur looking stuff that is easily available at a few stateside shops – a top/bottom set is easily had for under $100, and Cool Planet has a lovely selection over which your lucky hubby will pant gratefully.

Why would you bother with eco knickers? Watch this video and see what you DON’T want near your best bits. Your husband will actually watch this video. Trust me.

Just call me Cupid. x

Oh, la, la Lingerie

Once you have an infant “dirty weekends” involve nappy’s and milk stained Aden & Anais blankets.

But Valentines Day is fast approaching, and lucky mummy’s will be off with daddy’s that haven’t seen frilly knickers in longer than they care to remember….

Lucky for mums (and dads), Stella McCartney wants him to still need you and still feed you when you are 64 – so she has a stunning line of organic lingerie that looks like the La Perla stuff you used to don many, many moons ago (which may be how you became a green mum in the first place).

It’ ain’t cheap – nor will you look so, all aglow in her gorgeous ethereal bits and bobs of silk and lace. Light a Maria Santa Novella candle, have a chilled bottle of organic champers and slip into your Anna Sova organic silk sheets…

…without falling asleep!

Baby will be fine with your sister.

Happy Valentines Day!
