I think that Crocs are one. Unless you are a chef slaving in a hot kitchen all day, I can’t think of any reason why the modern form of “Jellies” should shod so many poor, unsuspecting children on the playground. Honestly. Would YOU wear them? Exactly.

MUCH better for the feet, cuter and just as “hardy” are clogs. And yes, even boys (named Sven) can wear them. But girls, who really will be traumatized when they look back and see photos of their rubber laden feet, look especially adorable in clogs – and most especially in these from clog-land: Sweden.

As we all know, Swedish children are far brighter than our own and our perform them on every test. Do you know why? Because they didn’t wear Crocs. Thats a proven scientific fact. Sort of. In my world.

Bear Feet makes the most gorgeous eco-shoes I have EVER seen. Clearly they need a new publicist, as with shoes this gorge, there is no reason that they aren’t all over Daily Candy and all the green fashion blogs.

How are these NOT carried at Barney’s?

Bear Feet has all the Mary Janes and Ballarinas a future Audrey needs.

These are the shoes that Carrie Bradshaw bought her own triplet daughters that she has with Mr Big (in the version in my head).

From teeny to big girl sizes, you really needn’t look anywhere else.

But honestly, Bear Feet  needs to get a proper advertising/PR strategy. It’s just silly that they aren’t chatted up everywhere and carried by all the best stores.

I also want to know where all the cute CHAP shoes are. Ahem.

If you have or know any chiquitas – these are the shoes that she needs to wear with her organic togs. Truly. I wish they had my size….

I’m not going to lie to you and suggest that all of my clothes are organic or vegan. They aren’t – my sons are.

But. With vegan shoes and boots are cute as those made by NeuAura, I can slowly make that important transition to a more responsible closet. And with eco fashion getting cuter by the ‘mo – it won’t be long before we can all be clad and shod as well as those who can afford Stella Mc Cartney.

Not only are NeuAura shoes adorable and responsible – the plant they are made in is hydro-electrically powered. Like an updated windmill. It’s all quite fashionably wonderful.

I know, I know. I rarely cover girl clothes or shoes (as they are so easy to find – and I am a boys mum). But these STUNNING baby shoes from Bobka Baby are too exquisite not to cover. When last in London, I picked up a few pair of Daisy Roots formaldehyde and Chrome free shoes. Had I seen these Christmas versions, I would of bought a pair of these as well – as I believe that babies should be decked out in Christmas-ness before they are old enough to realize whats happening to them.

Soft, handmade and safe enough for chewing Daisy Roots make my fave baby shoes in the world.

Each pair is a little work of art, and something fun for baby to glance down at when off for a walk. And what is cuter than a non-toxic pair of Hedgehog shoes? Nothing. Thats what.

Well. She won’t eat her rice pudding again, as she would rather be skipping about in her shoes that are free of harmful dyes and toxins such as Lead, Mercury, Arsenic, Cadmium, Antimony, Selenium and Barium.

Classic, safe and so much nicer than sneaker shoes that light up and scare pets as they burst into battery operated song, Mary Janes almost guarantee a well behaved child. (How can one have a tantrum in shoes so sweet?)

Honestly.  These shoes look lovingly cobbled by doe eyed elves. And will go perfectly with all that is smocked.

Warning: If you are from Fort Lauderdale, and are a “Topsider” purist, this will offend you.

You know you grew up in Fort Lauderdale if you had an entire drawer full of bathing suits, you have had to figure out what to do with green hair (if you were blond), you have seen as many Manatee as Georgians have ‘coons, and you had at least four pairs of Sperry Topsiders. If you grew up within 10 miles of The Galleria in the 80′s, those Topsider laces were curled into spiral things, rather than tied in a bow. It looked “totally wicked” with your double layer of pastel colored Polo shirts (both collars up). Just the thing to wear as you stole macaroons from the LYC.

Sadly, Topsiders have yet to go “green” – but Timberland has created a line of “greener” boat shoes that, though not Topsiders, are suitable for a go on your runabout.

I must of had at least 10 argyle sweaters when I was in high school. Normally that wouldn’t be impressive – but I lived in Florida.

These too sweet organic argyle shoes are from Franny & June, via Etsy. Clearly they don’t live on East Coast, or they would develop an entire line, open a shop on the Cape and become zillionaires.

If you know a couple who think it’s quite normal to have trousers covered in little lobsters – this is the gift for them.

I’ve been searching for spring shoes for my boy – and I came across Bobux, a company that uses only eco-leather that is safe enough to go in babys’ mouth to create it’s tootsie confections.

I will not be buying these…

As I much prefer these…

Molly, our puppy, asked that I buy Alden these…

But I am most likely going to buy him these…

Bobux shoes are not only made of eco-leather, but they are Velcro free (honestly – our kids are in such a hurry that we need Velcro?), and only a few have laces (choking/strangulation hazard).  These are just safe and easy slip ons that every mum has time for.
